Mexico City: Day 4 & Mayo Problems

My last day snuck up on me! I forgot I booked a 6am flight to Panama City so that I could have a decent layover in San Salvador (the entire day versus 3-5).
Lunch: El Hijo de Don Torino. Ness's recommendation. I had a lovely walk over - it was sunny and 70. Ninety pesos ($5) got me both Sopa Azteca (tasty) and Enmoladas. My first thought when they set down the Enchiladas was OMG is that mayo! Yes, and a lot. It reminded me of León, Spain, where I had a homestay for a week when I was a junior in high school: Mayo on EVERYTHING. Green beans, corn, carrots - I blocked out the rest. I used to push food into my napkin and dump it over the balcony, which is sad, because that's rude and I loved them, but I just gagged, I was practically eating mayo soup! However, these enmoladas had cheese, which I enjoyed very much. I ate all of the soup, the two enmoladas with the most cheese (the mole sauce - honestly I have had better in the States. Cafe Popular's reigns supreme.), and went to go read in Alameda Central. On the way back, I got lost trying to find a kitchenware shop where I saw an emoji coffee mug I wanted to get Lexie. Sadly everything shut down around 6 and I just missed it, sorry Lex. I'll find you another good one.
